    Luton Borough Council:

    There are 19 wards in Luton and 48 councillors.

    Following the local elections on 3rd May 2007, there are 26 Labour Councillors (up 5), 17 Liberal Democrat Councillors (down 4),
    5 Tory Councillors (up 1).

    The Liberal Democrats and the Tories had a coalition that ran the council.
    This came to an end the elections and the council is now once again run by the Labour party.
